Egg portraiture is an oft overlooked art form. Originating in the 17th century in the Netherlands, Flemish peasants would often paint goose eggs to look like popular royals and sell them for a pittance. OK, that may or may not be a fabrication. But I am thinking long and hard about turning this into some kind of lucrative start-up.
This egg is, quite simply, the spitting image of my brother, Joe. And that’s no yolk.
